Service Description

Mommy and OT Developmental Classes Connect, play, and grow alongside your child with guidance from a pediatric occupational therapist. Mommy and OT is a small-group developmental class designed for babies, toddlers, and their caregivers. Each class combines age-appropriate sensory-motor play, movement, social interaction, and hands-on activities that support your child’s emerging developmental skills. Caregivers will learn simple, practical ways to encourage development through everyday play and routines. The final 15 minutes of each class are reserved for families to ask specific developmental questions and receive individualized guidance from a pediatric occupational therapist. Parents, grandparents, and other caregivers are always welcome. Class Schedule Monday: Early Explorers Ages 6–12 months 10:00–10:45 a.m. This class supports early developmental foundations through floor play, tummy-time activities, sensory exploration, movement, and opportunities to practice emerging motor skills. Thursday: Growing Explorers Ages 12–24 months 10:00–10:45 a.m. Designed for increasingly mobile babies and toddlers, this class provides opportunities to develop balance, coordination, body awareness, motor planning, and early social participation through guided play. Friday: Little Explorers Ages 24–36 months 10:00–10:45 a.m. This active toddler class encourages coordination, motor planning, sensory processing, play skills, following simple directions, and interaction with peers in a supportive environment. What to Expect Each class includes: Developmentally appropriate sensory-motor play Activities that support gross- and fine-motor development Opportunities for movement, exploration, and social interaction Practical ideas that caregivers can use at home A welcoming environment for children to learn at their own pace Dedicated time for developmental questions with a pediatric occupational therapist No diagnosis or prior therapy experience is required. Classes are intended to support development, strengthen the caregiver-child connection, and help families feel informed and confident throughout each stage of early childhood.
